WHO WE ARE:

The Evans City Park Authority is made up of year-round volunteers who manage and raise funds for our small-town park and pool. We also have a small seasonal staff, and we are always looking for friendly faces to join our summer team.

OUR STORY:

EDCO Park gets its name from the property’s history as a planing mill and lumber yard once owned by the Edward Dambach Company. The Dambach family donated the land and funds to help create a community park.

HOW WE'RE FUNDED:

The Evans City Park Authority is a self-supporting, government-run entity created by the Evans City Borough Council to oversee the building and operations of the park and pool. Unlike traditional authorities such as water, sewer, or transit, we do not receive tax funding and do not have a stable revenue base to rely on for maintaining and improving programs or amenities.

Due to this lack of stable funding, community members formed the EDCO Park Foundation, Inc., which hosts two major fundraisers each year: EDCO Fest and Purses and Pistols. Thanks to the continued support of our community through these events, EDCO Park and Pool are able to remain open and continue serving the community.

For the 2026 season, the Evans City Borough Council budgeted $5,000.00 to assist with the park’s expenses.
